General FAQ
Donating your vehicle to charity towards helping the vulnerable all across the United States. This includes providing food, shelter and resources to disadvantaged youngsters and visually-impaired adults. Your donations will help finance programs and services that improve overall wellbeing. You can read more about why you should donate your vehicle here.
Call us on (877) 689-0815 or fill out our online form to get started. Your charity will then arrange a suitable time and location to collect your vehicle from you. Once your donated vehicle has been auctioned off, you’ll receive a tax relief receipt in the mail to the value of your donation. Read more about How to donate your car on our dedicated page.
Your vehicle is first assessed in order to determine how to make the most from it. Most cars will be auctioned off as they’re received, but vehicles in poorer condition may be stripped down and sold off as spare parts to maximize profits.
The vulnerable people of America benefit from your donation. The charities we work with are Rawhide Ranch, Kars4Kids and the American Council of the Blind. Additionally, you’ll receive a number of benefits as a donor too, including a generous tax break.
The most notable benefit is the tax relief you’ll receive as a result of donating. If your vehicle sells for $500 or less, you’ll receive a tax relief receipt for $500. If it sells for more, you’ll receive a tax relief receipt for the sale amount.
No. As a donor, you won’t incur any costs at all. Our charities do all of the collecting so there are no towing fees to pay.
Yes you can. You can check the status of your donation at any time by either calling (877) 689-0815 or calling the charity to whom your proceeds will be going to.
Yes, all vehicles are auctioned off in some capacity. In the case of vehicles in poor condition, they may be stripped down for parts and the parts may be auctioned separately.
Vehicles FAQ
Our charities welcome all types of vehicle donations. Cars, vans, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, motorhomes, boats, jet skis, trailers and more. If you’re not sure if your vehicle qualifies, please call us on (877) 689-0815 to check.
Many factors are taken into consideration when valuing your vehicle, including make, model, age, driveability, condition, repair history, mileage, and any damage which could affect its resale value.
Yes we do. Our charities accept vehicles regardless of their condition – even ones that are no longer functioning or require considerable repair. In the case of completely depleted vehicles, our charities may strip these down for spare parts instead of selling them as a whole.
Yes, our charities are happy to accept multiple donations, whether this is multiple donations at once or over a long period of time. No matter how many cars you want to donate, our charities will be glad of them.
Unfortunately, our charities cannot accept abandoned vehicles as they require proof of ownership in order to send the vehicles to auction. If you find an abandoned vehicle, please report it to the local authorities.
You can, however, our charities will still carry out their own valuation accordingly.
Yes. If there are 2 owners listed on the front of a title, the majority of the time, both people will need to sign as seller. If there is an ‘or’ in between the names, only 1 signature is required.
It depends. We can accept the car if you have a copy of the death certificate and documentation that you are the official inheritor of the deceased’s belongings.
Collection FAQ
Your chosen charity will arrange collection of your vehicle. They will liaise with you to arrange a convenient time and location to collect your car and then send a professional towing company to take your vehicle away.
No. Our charities collect your vehicle completely free of charge. There are no costs involved during the entire donation process.
Our charities can collect your vehicle from absolutely anywhere inside your state. It doesn’t need to be outside your home, on your driveway or in your garage. For example, we can collect your car if it’s stuck at a repair shop or at your place of work.
No you don’t. Our charities can tow your vehicle away even if you’re not present. Just let us know that you won’t be there beforehand so we give you any necessary instructions. You may need to leave the keys and documentation in a safe spot for us, or alternatively you can send them to us afterwards.
Most pickups occur within 1-2 business days of your donation being accepted. However, if you’re desperate to get things moving quickly, please call us on (877) 689-0815 and we’ll see if your charity can accommodate.
Our charities require your car title in order to accept your donation. However, under certain circumstances, they may be able to accept your donation without it. They’ll also take any relevant documentation, such as service, modification or repair history.
Yes, our charities are in operation in all 50 states across the country. They can collect vehicles no matter where the donor is located.
We only work with respectable charities throughout the United States. All of our charities have fantastic reputations and have long histories of helping better the lives of vulnerable citizens all across the country.
Tax FAQ
Yes you do. Every donor will receive a tax relief receipt once their donation has been sold off. The value will differ depending on the sale price. Please see our Tax Information page for more information.
The amount on your tax relief receipt depends on the sale value of your donated vehicle. If your vehicle sells for $500 or less, you’ll receive a tax relief receipt for $500. If it sells for more, you’ll receive a tax relief receipt for the sale amount.
Your tax deduction receipt will arrive in your mailbox within 30 days following successful auction of your vehicle.
